Artist statement

While at Salem, I intend to immerse myself in techniques and approaches I have not tried through collaboration or partnerships with fellow artists who will have widely varying skill sets.

The cross-disciplinary nature of the residency offers a rare opportunity to work in unfamiliar media and with artists from completely different backgrounds.

I am not only a visual artist, but also have some experience with music, so am looking forward to potentially combining these different artforms.

Salem Art Works is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit art center and sculpture park located in rural Upstate New York. Founded in 2005 by artist Anthony Cafritz, Salem Art Works is dedicated to supporting both emerging and established artists in the creation of new and progressive work, as well as promoting the understanding and appreciation of contemporary art within the region.
