NY / VT Artist Residency

About

Salem Art Works spirit is rooted in the convergence and collaboration of people of varied backgrounds, ideas, and artistic approaches. Everyone is welcomed, respected and encouraged to participate and contribute to the SAW experience regardless of their age, race, gender, or ability. SAW and the surrounding Salem community are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment in and around SAW, where learning, exploration, risk-taking, and expression can happen free from judgment and discrimination.

The NY / VT Artist Residency is a program entering its 3rd year developed by Salem Art Works to celebrate the artistic excellence in the states of New York and Vermont. Participants are encouraged to expand their practice through interacting with artists from other disciplines. Workshops in the blacksmithing, glass, welding, foundry and ceramic shops will be available during the residency to familiarize artists with new processes.

The NY / VT Artist Residency will host 10 artists for 3 weeks.
