Bring your chairs and blankets- it’s time for our favorite summer event at the top of Cary Hill! We’ll be giving free shuttles up the hill in the school bus, but there’s plenty who walk up too.
MUSIC | Roadside Blues Band @ 5pm
Since their inception The Roadside Blues Band has been anchored by the Chicago and Mississippi blues of artists like Muddy Waters, Little Walter, and the Reverend Gary Davis. The archetypal guitar of Billy Lanchantin and dynamic harmonica of Michael Krauss keep the feel of this roots music current and alive. Over the more than twenty years of their association the band has added many entertaining renditions of songs by The Beatles, Diana Ross And The Supremes, Van Morrison, The Rascals and others. The original songs by drummer Peter Maine round out the repertoire while the rock solid bass of Mitch Throop holds down the bottom with unwavering intensity. All four members share lead and harmony vocals with strong and unique styles. Welcome to Roadside Blues!
